Professor Profiles

(1) Shi Daimin, PhD in Economics, Professor, PhD supervisor, Vice President of SWUFE

He won his awards as follows for his scientific research: National Candidate for the "Millions of Talents Project"; Enjoys the Government Special Allowance of the State Council; Candidate of "New Century Excellent Talents Support Program" of the Ministry of Education; Head of Academic Learning at the Provincial Level; Sichuan Excellent Expert with Special Contribution; “Top Ten Youth Teachers” of Colleges and Universities in Sichuan, etc. He serves as the member of the editorial board for many periodicals such as Statistical Research, The Journal of Quantitative & Technical Economics, etc. He has undertaken more than 10 national research projects and provincial research projects, and has published over 60 papers in domestic and foreign journals; he also won 10-odd prizes for research and teaching at state and provincial (ministerial) levels.

Research interests: Financial Time Series Analysis, Qualitative Analysis of Financial Investment, Applied Statistics.



(2) GUO Jianjun, PhD in Economics, Professor, Dean of School of Statistics

He was Senior Visiting Scholar at Baruch College, City University of New York from July, 2007 to August, 2008, he is also Sichuan province discipline and technology leader reserve candidate. He has published many papers in academic journals such as Statistical Research, the Journal of Quantitative & Technical Economics, Chinese Journal of Management Science etc. He offers “Econometrics”, “Statistics”, “Investment” and other courses, and he has won the Second prize of National Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award, as well as First prize of Sichuan Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award.

Research interests: Applied Econometric Analysis, research issues related to Income Distribution Characteristics and Inequality Measurement, Intergenerational Liquidity, Fund Performance Evaluation and Incentive Mechanism, etc.



(3) LIN Huazhen, PhD in Statistics, post-doctor of Biostatistics in Washington University, Professor, PhD supervisor

She is awarded the National Excellence Youth Fund, and also wins the project of the New Century National Hundred. She takes charge of several projects sponsored by National Natural Science Foundation of China and the international cooperation. Her research papers concerning the nonparametric and semi-parametric statistical approach have been published on world renowned periodicals, such as Annals of Statistics, Journal of the Royal Statistical Society: Series B, Journal of the American Statistical Association, Biometrika etc. And she is associate editor of Journal of Business & Economic Statistics, Statistical Theory and Related Fields, she is also committee member of IMS-ChinaIBS-CHINA and ICSA-China. Once serving as a visiting professor and a visiting scholar, she has further her research in foreign universities, such as Washington University in the U.S., University of California, Los Angeles, University of Manchester in the U. K., University of Hong Kong, Chinese University of Hong Kong etc.

Research interests: Non-parametric Method, Survival Data Analysis, Functional Data Analysis, Latent Variable Analysis, ROC Method, Skewed Data Analysis, Capture-recapture Data Analysis.



(4) LU Wanbo, PhD in Economics, Professor, PhD supervisor, Vice Dean of School of Statistics

He has undertaken many projects supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China and Ministry of Education, and has published over 60 papers in domestic and foreign journals such as European Journal of Operation Research, Statistical Papers, Economic Research Journal, Science Research Management etc. He has been selected into the "New Century Outstanding Talent Support Program" of the Ministry of Education in 2003, and he is also Sichuan academic and technical leaders reserve candidate, Sichuan Excellent Expert with Special Contribution. He has won several prizes for research at provincial (ministerial) levels.

Research interests: Financial Econometrics, Non-parametric Statistics and Risk Management, Financial Quantitative Analysis, Quality Management and Reliability



(5) CHANG Jinyuan, PhD in Economics, Professor, PhD supervisor

He has published 16 papers on top international journals such as Annals of Statistics, Biometrika, Journal of Econometrics, Biometrics etc., and he is associate editor of Journal of the Royal Statistical Society Series B, Statistica Sinica, Journal of Business & Economic Statistics. He is the Awardee of the 16th Fok Ying-Tong Education Foundation Funds for Young Teachers in the Higher Education Institutions of China in 2018, and he won the First Prize of the 17th Fok Ying-Tong Outstanding Young Teacher Award in the Higher Education Institutions of China in 2020.

Research Interests: High Dimensional Data Analysis, Empirical Likelihood and Its Application, Financial Econometrics, Network Data Analysis, Functional Data Analysis



(6) REN Dong, Professor, PhD supervisor

He takes more than 10 projects sponsored by National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Bureau of Statistics, State Administration of Cultural Relics, State Administration of Grain, and Sichuan Social Science Foundation, etc. He also takes charge of many research programs concerned with Sichuan Administration for Industry and Commerce, ‎Chengdu City Employment Bureau, Chengdu Group of National Bureau of Statistics.

Research Interests: Statistics, Econometrics, Sampling Technology and Application.



(7) YU Kaizhi, PhD in Economics, Professor, PhD supervisor

He was a visiting scholar in University of Michigan and Tamkang University, he has undertaken 8 national research projects and provincial research projects, and has published over 40 papers in domestic and foreign journals; He offers specialized courses such as Advanced Econometrics, Time Series Analysis, Stochastic Process etc.

Research Interests: Financial Time Series, Applied Micro-Econometrics, Empirical Finance, Consumer Economics etc.



(8) GONG Jinguo, PhD in Economics, Professor, PhD supervisor, Vice Dean of School of Statistics

He has taken charge of several national research projects and provincial research projects, and has published over 10 papers in domestic and foreign journals such as Journal of the Royal Statistical Society: Series B, Studies in Nonlinear Dynamics & Econometrics, Economic Modeling, Statistical Research, The Journal of Quantitative & Technical Economics etc.

He has published over 30 SCI papers in top international journals such as IEEE Transactions on Automatic ControlAutomaticaIISE TransactionsNaval Research LogisticsEuropean Journal of Operational ResearchIEEE Transactions on ReliabilityReliability Engineering & System Safety. And he has won "Ho-Pan Ching-Yi" Best Paper Award for his research achievements in 2018. Besides, he is associate editor of Asia-Pacific Journal of Operational Research, Journal of Simulation.
