Student Exchange Program in Technische Universität Dresden (for graduate students)

1. About the Institution

Technische Universitat Dresden, founded in 1828, is located in Dresden, capital of Saxony, known as the "Silicon Valley of Europe". It is one of the most famous universities of science and engineering in Germany. TUD now has a very large scale of teaching and research, Siemens, ABB, IBM, AEG and other large companies have factories and research centers in Dresden. TUD is ranked 179th in the QS World University Rankings 2020.


2. About the Exchange Program

School of Statistics signed a student cooperation agreement with the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences in Technische Universitat Dresden(TUD). According to the agreement, no more than 5 outstanding graduate students from both sides will be selected for exchange study for one semester or one academic year. Students from both sides will be required to return to their home Institutions and will not receive a degree, all credits that students have earned can be transferred according to the relevant rules and regulations.


3. Application

a) Full-time first-year or second-year graduate students in School of Statistics;

b) Excellent academic performance, the average score of the first and second academic years of graduate students should not less than 3.2/5.0;

c) TOEFL should no less than 85 or IELTS no less than 6.0;
