General Introduction:

Management Science and Engineering is the supporting discipline of Management in the backbone discipline of SWUFE, which is indispensable for promoting the construction and layout of the University's interdisciplinary. The University has integrated resources across schools to carry out discipline construction since this major was established, focused on the cross integration of disciplines, and encouraged professionals with different knowledge backgrounds to carry out cooperative research across schools and departments. Based on the guidance above, the discipline has taken full advantages of all disciplines, and was intersected and penetrated with Finance, Statistics, etc., forming the characteristic of discipline construction, which focuses on discipline integration, and combining theoretical research with empirical analysis.

At present, the Department of Management Science and Engineering in School of Statistics is the main construction subject of this discipline, and SWUFE has set up an academic team with reasonable knowledge structure, age structure and rich teaching and scientific research experience, with the assistance of the School of Business Administration and the School of Economic Information Engineering. Cross-school majors give full play to the advantages of interdisciplinary, especially this discipline is based on School of Statistics with a long history of education, strong faculty and a mature professional establishment, which provides a strong support for the development of this discipline.

The Department now has 8 faculty members, in which there are 5 professors, 2associate professors and 1 lecturer.
